Are you thinking about a career in healthcare? Build your training with our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. Learn skills to assist physicians and work with patients in multiple healthcare settings. Our CCMA program provides instruction, lab practice and hands-on training in: preparing patients for examinations and treatment, taking and documenting vital signs, routine lab procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. •Other topics include: pharmacology, administration of medicine, cardiology and proper placement of leads, professional workplace behavior, HIPAA, and ethics and legal aspects of healthcare. •New this year we will include a simulated online medical office to give you realistic experience with using electronic medical records. •CCMA is 140-hours of combined classroom and hands-on lab and the opportunity to complete a 160-hour clinical externship at a local healthcare facility. Upon successful completion of the course, participants can take the national Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam at our learning center. •Job opportunities with this certification are available at physician’s offices, clinics, hospitals, chiropractor’s offices, and outpatient facilities. This program is ideal for those pursuing formal Certified Medical Assistant and Nursing Programs, as well as those training for entry-level clinical positions. •Participants in this program have the opportunity to complete a work readiness course, Medical Terminology, an online medical math class, and earn digital literacy certificates. These value added courses are offered with classroom and online components.
