Poetry-Beatnik 101: A Counter-cultural Plunge
with Phil Wormuth
The purpose of a counter-cultural plunge is to expose individuals to persons or groups markedly different one’s own; we will immerse ourselves in the curious and catalytic world of the beatniks. Beatniks were participants in a social movement of the 1950’s and 60’s that stressed artistic self-exploration and the rejection of the customs and practices of conventional society. Join us for this fun, interactive experience offered in honor of National Poetry Month (April.) You can earn a Beatnik Diploma.
