with George Deans
Please note that the start/end dates have been changed from what was printed in the catalog.
This woodworking class is designed for both the beginner and experienced woodworkers. Emphasis will be on fundamentals of tools, machines and materials to create projects. Safety will be our first priority in proper shop practices.Do you have some specific aspect of woodworking you are interested in learning; hand joinery, design, finishing, etc? Come in with a project or work with the instructor to create one. You do not have to create a project to make this class a success. You can participate in this class just to learn the machines, joinery, both hand and machine tools, or some other aspect of woodworking you find interesting. Topics such as repairs, restoration and refurbishing of existing pieces will be covered for those interested. Projects should be transportable. Participants are responsible for additional supply costs of their individual projects. No class 2/21/18.
