Excel Basics

During this workshop, you will learn how to navigate a simple Excel worksheet, enter data in a worksheet, use basic math functions, do basic formatting, how to replicate data, use built-in functions and work with columns and rows.
This is a live online class using ZOOM.

Substitute Teacher Training

If you’re thinking about substitute teaching, we want to talk with you! Substitute teaching is a rewarding job with lots of flexibility; this workshop will provide you an overview of what you need to know. Meet with an experienced substitute and building administrators to learn about topics such as: “tricks of the trade”, classroom management, learning & teaching styles, state laws related to student rights and confidentiality, and how to apply for the position. You have options about what schools you substitute in and what grade levels. Come take a step towards substitute teaching! Follow up sessions as requested.
2/6 session is held at the Peninsula School. 2/13 session is held at the Cave Hill School.
CPR Training

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory, or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This will cover first aid, adult, and infant CPR.
NDEC - iPhone Basics

This course covers the basics of how to use Apple’s popular iPhone. This class starts with the basics of how to log on using multiple methods from passcode to touch id to face recognition technology. Apple’s iCloud service will be discussed, including how it will help secure your data and allow your data to be used across multiple Apple devices. The App Store will be covered to find additional applications that may meet your varied interest and needs.
Requirements: an iPhone connected to the internet.

FAME - Successful Scholarship Searches and Applications

Scholarships can go a long way in helping students cover college costs, but being successful in the scholarship application process can take some work. In this session you’ll learn to build and work your own scholarship application plan. You’ll also learn about and try out different scholarship websites, learn how to best use a scholarship information tracker, and learn to avoid some of the challenges of the scholarship process. Basket Weaving: Fishing Creel
with Gin Randolph
This diverse basket got it's name due to it's sturdy nature and it's ability to hold things (like fish) very well without damage or spilling! It would make a good foraging basket, too. Learn to weave this fishing creel with strap approximately 11 x 7 x 6 for yourself or as a gift for your favorite outdoorsman. Lid is extra.
*Prior weaving experience required.
