NDEC - Using Facebook Securely

This class is designed to teach current Facebook account holders how to use Facebook more securely, how to understand all privacy options, and how to change privacy options so the information you share on Facebook is only available to those you wish to see it.
Requirements: a device connected to the internet and a Facebook account.
Seaweed Spring Fling: Sea Vegetables in Egg Dishes

On the first night, participants will receive an introduction to the many varieties of seaweed and their unique flavor and nutrition profiles We’ll also create a little seaweed snack, have a ‘Cup of Sea’ tea, and take a tour of the MCSV facility.
On the second night, we’ll cook and taste the complimentary flavors of eggs and seaweed. Sweet, savory, spicy, we'll explore the whole gamut and learn how to enhance them all with a touch of sea vegetables. Bring your curiosity, appetite, and a pint-sized jar for pickling on the second night.

Bob Ross Oil® Painting: Secluded Forest

Secluded Forest is from Joy of Painting season 6 episode 5. We will explore the magic of the deep forest where Bob's favorite little creatures love to hide. We will discover how easy it is to make reflections in the forest ponds. Genuine Bob Ross ® materials provided and used. Students are asked to bring a roll of paper towels for personal use.
Scam-Proof Your Accounts

Participants will learn about common financial frauds including check washing and check fraud. Also coveredare critical components of keeping accounts secure including password management and freezing one’s credit.
Botanical Drawing

Focusing on precision and botanical anatomy, the class covers sketching, shading, and color theory to create lifelike representations of flowers, leaves, and stems. Suitable for all skill levels, the course blends art with science, helping students develop a deeper appreciation for nature while honing their drawing abilities.
Students should bring their own 9x12 or 11x14 paper/sketchbook, #2 pencils, ruler, and eraser plus a $4 materials fee payable to the instructor.
