Beginner Kettlebell Workout
with Polly Wolfe
Learn the fundamentals of kettlebell training where we will focus on building strength, mobility, and coordination through basic exercises such as swings, squats, and presses. Your instructor will guide you on proper form, safety, and technique, ensuring an effective full-body workout. Whether you're new to fitness or kettlebells, this class will help you build a strong foundation while improving endurance and overall fitness. Participants should wear comfortable clothing (nothing baggy) and bring a kettlebell (recommended 10 lb) and a water bottle.

Architechtural Illustration

Learn the technique of visualizing architectural designs through hand-drawing with an emphasis on perspective, scale, and composition while also studying the interplay of light, shadow, and texture to bring structures to life. Students can learn to capture the essence of residential architecture whether a modern minimalist style to traditional designs.
Students should bring their own 9x12 or 11x14 paper/sketchbook, #2 pencils, ruler, and eraser plus a $4 materials fee payable to the instructor.
Scrapbooking

Unleash your creativity while preserving memories! This class offers tips on photo arrangement, journaling, and using various materials to make your scrapbook unique. We’ll explore beautiful layouts, personalized designs, fun embellishments, techniques, share ideas, and create a treasured keepsake. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned scrapbooker, you'll leave with a unique, handmade album and new skills to enhance your projects. An 8x8 paper album will be provided—bring your 12-18 photos and enthusiasm! Additional albums, embellishments and scrapbooking products will be available to purchase. Children ages 8 or older are welcome with an adult.
Ceramics: Textural, Handbuilt Pots

Students will explore the ceramic technique of handbuilding to create unique, sculptural, textured vessels. Starting with a ball of clay, participants will learn the basics of pinching and shaping, while incorporating a variety of textures such as carving, stamping, and rolling to enhance their designs. Emphasis will be placed experimenting with different patterns, textures, and surface treatments. By the end of the class, students will have crafted their own expressive, one-of-a-kind pinch pots (up to 3 or 5), gaining a deeper appreciation for the tactile process of pottery and a better understanding of how texture enhances the form and aesthetic of ceramic works.

Basket Weaving: May Baskets

We will focus on crafting three vibrant, small May baskets. Guided by your instructor, participants will learn a traditional weaving technique using an array of colorful natural reeds to create square-to-round baskets with handles. Use your creativity to perfect these charming, one-of-a-kind celebratory May baskets...still a tradition in Downeast Maine. No experience necessary.

Grow Your Own Organic Garden
with MOFGA
We'll cover all the basics of organic gardening such as supporting soil and plant health, starting seeds indoors and outdoors, interplanting, pest management, watering, and harvesting. Participants will have plenty of time to ask questions and connect with one another about shared experiences in their gardening journeys so far. By the end of this class, you should feel equipped with knowledge and connected to resources and community members that will help them grow an organic garden, and feel satisfied with the process of doing so. We’ll even send you home with some seeds to start in your own garden! This class is for beginner and seasoned gardeners alike.
